Just south of the Chicago Loop, in close proximity to the lakefront is the South Loop. The neighborhood encompasses a collection of cultural treasures, including the Museum Campus featuring Adler Planetarium, The Field Museum and Shedd Aquarium. The campus is an extension of Grant Park which plays host to major annual events such as The Taste of Chicago, Chicago Blues Festival and Lollapalooza. The South Loop also plays host to Soldier Field, home of the much beloved Chicago Bears.

The South Loop has benefited from major construction over the past few years, including Printers Row conversions of older warehouses and factories into lofts, condos and apartments, as well as new construction of upscale row homes, mid-rises and high-rise skyscrapers. The area is popular with home buyers and renters alike, given its close proximity to the Loop, easy access to transportation and breathtaking views of both the lake and Chicago skyline.
